Saxophonist

In his freelance work, Rob travels around Scotland providing music for many different types of events. His vast experience allows him to tailor his playing specifically to any occasion, but he is best known for his cool jazz tones. He is often praised for his rich range of sounds and thoughtful melodic improvisation.

Listening to other sax players (past & present) is something that Rob is very passionate about and his favourite influences have come from Dexter Gordon, Hank Mobley, Art Pepper, Maceo Parker, Gerald Albright, to name just a few.

Whilst studying at the University of St Andrews completing his post-graduate studies, he was awarded the Linda Trahan Memorial trophy.
